EPL 29: Spurs 0 - 0 West Ham

For this game I think it says a lot about West ham's performance that Harry Redknapp told Bale and Lennon to switch sides to see if they could break us down this way. West Ham defend well and sometimes create a few chances. Spurs has no luck this time. With Defoe were put as a lone striker, he fails to prove his quality. Only after Pav come in, the tempo is change but he still cannot  helps us to find the net.

A credit should go to Wayne Bridge with excellent performance. It says a lot about his performance that he received the man of the match award after Green's heroics in the match. He frustrated Lennon and then Bale. The only joy Spurs had was attacking from the opposite side to Bridge.

I really dont understand why Van der Vart were bring out for Pav. He is the playmaker for Spurs (likes Modric). Harry should remain him for 90 minutes. Spurs should be aware of the threatening from Liverpool who in highly morale after beat Sunderland.

EPL Match 27: Blackpool (3) vs Spurs (1)

As Chelsea wins over Man United, 2 -1, Spurs now at fifth place. This is a few review and comments after the match.

1. DJ Campbell brilliant second goal was a tad offside but we have had a fair few against us so sorry spurs I wish we could have it against the teams who did it to us but thats football.

2. To be fair, Spurs got really unlucky and we had at least 3-4 goals cleared off the line as well as an offsides goal counted against them.

3. What's funny about this game is that before kick-off, Redknapp was heaping praise on Ian Holloway for being the manager of the season in his book (if Blackpool stay up) because of how they play so well with so little talent. I think this game just may have proved his point.

4. Blackpool deserve full credit though, they went about their game and executed in perfectly. Brilliant last gasp defending by Cathcart in particular and Kingson made some good stop also. Adam looked quality again and overall they just took their chances. 8 shots, 4 on goal, 3 goals. The only comfort I can draw from this is that Blackpool are probably staying up now which is good as I do like the way they've gone about their first season in the premier league and wished more newly promoted teams did the same.

5. Maybe we really miss Gareth Bale action!

EPL Match 20: Spurs (1) vs Fulham (0)

Its been quite a long time I didn't update any news and video into this blog. I will try my best to deliver the best up todate news beginning this new year 2011.

Ok now the review ad comments about this match. Overall is good but we manage to score a lot of goal instead only one goal from Bale. He is our best and most consistent players for Spurs right now.

Van Der Vaart and Bale may've took the limelight but Modric is the engine of our team, whenever he played well Spurs wins, whenever Modric played bad we draw or lose. Modric creates the chances and Van Der Vaart scores or link up with Bale particularly well.

Lennon deserves much more credit, he's getting his form back and i'm proud of him. Playing much better than Walcott as he has more skill with the speed. Bale played ok, but to be honest, Luka Modric is out unsung hero. He deserves so much praise. I noticed how much Modric passes the ball and gets the ball rolling and is consistently thinking up ways of pushing the ball up.

Alright game, would have liked more goals!

EPL Match 6: Spurs (0) vs West Ham (1)

I watched the full match. Spurs keeps on disappointing me with each match they play, for a teams of so much class i really expected so much better from them!

So many of our players didn't perform in this match! It's up to Harry Redknapp then to make the right substitutions in time. Both Crouch and Huddlestone had complete off-days, especially Huddlestone was horrible to watch!

How he does not score one on one with the GK!! And 80% of his passes were unsuccessful. Modric and Van der Vaart were excellent in the 1st half but disappeared (especially VDV) in the 2nd half.

Bale at LB just doesn't have the same influence, even though he was pushing up. I guess we didn't have much choice with injuries and the like to the other backs, but you can feel the difference. Add to that Lennon not contributing as well as he could along with a few others.....and we end up with no points. BTW Jenas played some nice balls forward didn't he?

Hey dudes, here's a cool fact: Piquionne's goal was the 10,000th Premier League goal scored with a Nike ball.

The news

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart produced an outstanding display to deny Tottenham victory at White Hart Lane.
Hart saved acrobatically from Jermain Defoe, Tom Huddlestone and Benoit Assou-Ekotto as Spurs started strongly.
The excellent Gareth Bale struck the foot of the post with a rasping drive as a misfiring City were overwhelmed.
City did improve after the break and Shaun Wright-Phillips was denied by a last-ditch tackle, but Hart twice kept out efforts from Roman Pavlyuchenko.

And for all City's spending in the close-season, more than £100m on five new signings, it was Hart - brought back to the club after a season-long loan with Birmingham - who was their most valuable asset.

His magnificent interventions in the first half prevented the home side racking up a score that would have left City's embarrassment of riches simply embarrassed in the opening game of the new Premier League season.

1. Unlucky Spurs! Fantastic attacking football though; it's going to be one exciting season for this team. Mancini put so much $ in offense and all he gets is 2 shots on target lol wow.

2. exactly what i expected from both sides. They are equally dangerous and both looking to compete for the championship. Can't wait to see how the rest of the season goes for them. Great game to hart, glad to see him work his way up, and prove himself.

3. great performance from spurs... but excellent performance from hart (good to shut the critics about the disastrous world cup fumble). Bale looked great nice touches and king very dominant. Dont count city out yet they are just trying different thing, but once the find the right formation and starting line up theyll be good!

Carling Cup: Spurs vs Arsenal (1-4)

We lost to Arsenal young lads. Spurs also made some changes. New players had been given a chance to show off their skills.

Some of the Spurs fan said, the agenda this season is the League and the CL.
I can understand why Arsenal fielded a stronger team because it has been quite a long time since they've touched silverware...

Lennon has not been the player he was last year so far..that was Bentley's first game all season so he belongs nowhere on that list. Palacios has lost his spot to Jenas (which says it all about his form really, even though Jenas is playing quite well to be fair).

Our midfield is high class

...................Huddlestone....Modric............
Lennon...............Van Der Vaart................Bale

Bale is one of the best left sided players in the world...

But is it so hard to beat Arsenal?

Comments:

Nice game from Spurs, and as always Bale with a great game, Hutton coming in as a sub was also spectacular... Vaart played very well too in the attacking mid field position, its looking good for Spurs and Harry...

What a wierd celebrating from Pavy, I think he wanted his name on the shirt noticed or something?? LOL

***************************

How great is bale by the way..
with hutton on the right and bale on the left, the wings attack of tottenham is seriously deadly.
i think Van der Vart had a good game too.. his passing from the centre mid is great. i think Real Madrid will surely miss him. and talk about post player, crouch is the man! but the pavluychenko took the goal. i think this spurs team can achieve something this year
